The Race to 2030: Accelerating Action to End Female Genital Mutilation

The UNFPA-UNICEF FGM Joint Programme has launched its 2025 report, "The Race to 2030: Accelerating Action to End FGM."

Presenting global, regional, and 18 country-level results, it highlights major institutional breakthroughs alongside a stark warning: progress is lagging behind demographic realities. Today, there are 30 million more survivors than eight years ago. Reaching the 2030 SDG target requires a 27-fold acceleration in global elimination efforts.
