Since 2010, new HIV infections have fallen by 62% and AIDS-related deaths have dropped by 62% in Eastern and Southern Africa. Seven countries of the region have already reached the 95-95-95 testing, treatment and viral suppression targets and new prevention tools like twice-yearly Lenacapavir are reshaping what's possible.
Yet the region's progress remains fragile.
