Advancing self-care interventions for sexual and reproductive health and rights in the WHO African Region: regional roadmap
This regional roadmap provides a strategic framework for advancing equitable access to evidence-based self-care interventions for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) across the WHO African Region.
Developed following the Regional Summit on Self-Care for SRHR held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in November 2024, it outlines priority actions across six areas: financing, workforce, regulation of quality, partnership, research and environment.
The roadmap aims to support countries and partners in integrating safe, quality self-care interventions into health systems, reducing barriers to essential services and accelerating progress towards universal health coverage.
